Cracker Barrel Rocking Chair Product Photography

This shot I took from many angles. I wanted to emphasis the Cracker Barrel Rocking Chair emblem. I had a dilemma in that I couldn’t decide whether or not to show the whole rocking chair or not. In the end, I found that I could angle this rocking chair on the back porch just so that the emblem was the focus of the photograph.

In product photography, it is important to be mindful of what is the focus of the picture is. In this picture, I put the emblem on the right third of the picture in crisp focus.

Tap Code

Who doesn’t love wrapping up with a good book? My mother-in-law is reading The Tap Code and one evening, she left it perfectly placed on her bed. It was also joined by Mac, their cat who, after year of trying, I’m not sure likes me.

I placed the The Tap Code in the bottom of the frame to showcase more of the setting around it. That includes the cat, blankets, and pillows on the bed. The evening sun was coming in through the window, so the pillows were nicely lit. In post, I went in and lightened up the bedding and book so that it wouldn’t be so contrasting.
